JDZ completed a 2 year commission working with the JV client team comprising Grosvenor Estates & Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels to deliver a Stage 4a design and tender package for this prestigious new London hotel at Hyde Park Corner, London.
JDZ provided technical MEP design management services on this prestigious central London project. Embedded within the client team based in the Grosvenor Estates London offices. Initially appointed to lead the MEP Design from Stage C to Stage F, with oversight of the MEP design engineers Ramboll and design liaison with the lead Architect Hopkins.
The JV client was so pleased with our delivery performance, and highlighting the importance of a strong MEP biased design management team, our role was extended to manage the whole design team, including Hopkins Architects, Ramboll (Multi-discipline Engineer), Mott McDonald, Speirs + Major, QCIC, Tricon, and interior designers Peter Marino Architect NY, Cap atelier HK, Archer Humphryes London, Martin Kemp Design London.
This necessitated our close management and co-ordination of design team members in London, New York and Hong Kong, throughout the design programme.
In parallel with the design programme we delivered a full functional suite of model guest rooms and guestroom corridors in Hong Kong for client sign off, whilst the main design was still at Stage C level of development.
