JDZ provided client-side Technical MEP Project Management and Delivery Leadership services for the development of Heathrow Airport Terminal 2, working as part of the Heathrow Airport (BAA) client team throughout a four-year programme.
As one of the UK's most significant aviation infrastructure projects, Terminal 2 required exceptional technical leadership, stakeholder coordination and programme management to deliver a complex MEP installation within demanding operational and commercial constraints.
The development of Heathrow Terminal 2 represented one of the UK's largest transport infrastructure projects.
With the terminal scheduled to open in June 2014 and formal opening arrangements already established, successful delivery against programme was critical.
JDZ was selected by Heathrow Airport as a preferred supplier following previous success on transport and aviation projects.
Acting as part of the Heathrow client team, JDZ was appointed as the dedicated MEP Delivery Leader providing full-time site-based technical leadership throughout the delivery phase of the project.
This appointment demonstrates Heathrow Airport's confidence in JDZ's ability to lead and manage complex MEP workstreams on critical infrastructure projects.

Working alongside Heathrow Airport, HETCo and the wider project team, JDZ provided the technical leadership and client-side oversight necessary to support delivery of an MEP package valued at approximately £300M within a development valued at £1.3Bn.
The completed terminal now serves as a major international gateway and stands as one of the UK's most significant aviation infrastructure developments.
