JDZ provided Technical MEP Design Management services for The Peninsula London, a landmark luxury hotel development at Hyde Park Corner delivered by a joint venture between Grosvenor Estates and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Group.
Initially appointed to lead MEP design management, JDZ's role expanded to include management and coordination of the entire multidisciplinary design team, demonstrating the client's confidence in our technical leadership and project delivery capabilities.
The Peninsula London represented one of the most complex luxury hospitality developments undertaken in the capital.
Successful delivery required disciplined design management, effective stakeholder coordination and strong technical leadership.
JDZ was initially appointed to lead the MEP design management process, overseeing design development from Stage C through to Stage F and coordinating key contributors including Ramboll and Hopkins Architects.
Our technical expertise, collaborative approach and delivery performance quickly demonstrated value to the client team.
As a result, JDZ's appointment was expanded significantly beyond the original brief.

In parallel with the main design programme, JDZ also supported the development and delivery of a fully functioning suite of model guestrooms and guestroom corridors in Hong Kong to facilitate client review and approval while the primary design remained under development.
JDZ successfully delivered a two-year commission embedded within the client team, helping drive the development of one of London's most prestigious hospitality projects.
The expansion of JDZ's role from MEP Design Management to management of the entire multidisciplinary design team demonstrated the confidence placed in our leadership, coordination and technical delivery capabilities.
